It seems that a portal to hell opened up in my cu-de-sac yesterday.
They tell me it's just an old well. But, if thats true - what happened to all the squirrels?
Here is the city filling it in. This is the 3rd Truck load of gravel! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Wow, that's a well-built well. No pun intended, I promise you.
It makes me wonder where the house that was served by that well once was.
And... I don't know about squirrels in wells, but I am familiar with racoons in storm drains thanks to Cute Overload.

Well = a deep hole for the purpose of collecting car wheels. Yi!
Too bad you didn't get a chance to explore the bottom for artifacts. A little late for that now, I guess.

I actually thought about getting the scuba gear out and having a look. after about 12 feet it was filled with water - and deeper than we had tools to measure. Thankfully - cooler heads prevailed. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

All right, help me out here—I'm a little slow on the uptake regarding squirrels in hell. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

There is a little town in Illinois - Olney, IL where their claim to fame is a large population of albino squirrels ... go figure

Yeah, I didn't get why the squirrels were mentioned originally. I just noticed Olney on the truck's mudflaps and took a shot in the dark. Because, really, how often do you get to throw around your mastery of that particular bit of squirrel-based Southern Illinois trivia? I had to step up or regret it for the rest of my life. |

ok - the squirrel thing was a "throw away" - no reason at all for mentioning it - maybe Satan's minions feasting on the huge population of squirrels in the neighborhood --- I don't know ...
I actually didn't notice the mud flap on the truck. I'm about 70 miles south of Olney - near Carbondale.
