I even remember Banksey saying they had a Buckey Day or a holiday with a similar name?

There is a Buckie Holiday, even a Tattie Holiday. The latter a time when every local took time of their regular work or school to go into the fields and pick Tatties (potatoes).

Ok let's travel east - Buckie, Findochty, Portknockie, Cullen, Sandend, Banff, Macduff. Travel 3 miles south to a little village near me and you find my friend and fellow voice over, Richard Greenwood in Clochan.

Philip,

What I would like to know about this Buckie Holiday is whether it's:

1. A vacation (by the US meaning of the term) in Buckie, Or...
2. A bank holiday for the residents of Buckie and surrounding environs, Or...
3. Another meaning I can't fathom from this side of the pond?

2007 will be there year I finally put together the home studio....so figure a new superpower computer, interface, mic, pre-amp, and sound proofing. Will probably go ISDN or Source Connect as well. Just can't decide whether or not to go Pro Tools, Sound Forge or to stay with Adobe Audition.

Glenn, And don't forget to build a ramp for the "Brinks" truck to back up to your home and unload the money. Smile

Congratulations and good luck with it all.

Jet Fuel?

I for one look forward to reading about your exploits...

Most likely as a Darwin Award winner after the heat from the computer ignites the fumes Laugh

Back to the thread, I bought the Studio Projects C1 mic and a Tapco link USB to use with my laptop as a mobile studio. Oh, and some of those collapsing boxes that Harlan made the mic sound booth from. I got them at Amazon.

Kitzie,
How much of your demo is on the Soundelux? It sounds great.
I am interested in how the Tapco unit performs. Let us know when we can hear some audio samples of your new setup.
Also, do you know if you got the new SP C1 (model2)?

Kitzie,

Wow! Jo is right. You sound incredible!

I HAD to hear your singing demo and you knocked me out there, too! I love the old jazz standards and you truly do them justice.

Thanks to Jo for bringing you to my attention.

You both are very kind Smile

Jo, all of my demos were recorded as jobs here in my studio with the Soundelux. So far the Tapco has been OK, although the sound quality isn't great as it's in the same room with a very noisy PC that's running my main ProTools setup. The computer that runs AudioTX is even noisier, but you can't hear either of them in the sound booth where I do gigs. I'll take the mobile setup out of the basement one of these days and do a demo so you can hear how the C1 and the Tapco sound together. I don't know if the C1 is model 2....? I just ordered what they had at Sweetwater, and got it about 3 weeks ago.
