I have been using a web-based program to send audio to clients (http://clients.davechristi.com).

I created Audio Distribution System for myself, but recently I put the code on a friend's website as a favor. He loved it and sent a check for more than I had quoted him. I have now made the software portable to any other (Windows-Based) website.

I have setup a test website and I'd really appreciate it if any of you would go in and play with it. See if it works for you on your browser, upload files, download files, send e-mails, see if it makes sense, etc.

Admin can add and delete new users, upload and delete audio, send audio notification e-mails, etc.

Users can download audio and update their profile.

Deebs, I'd really like it if you or other Mac users could play with it using Safari.

Bob Souer, if you could run through it on Firefox, I'd be grateful.

This is strictly a demo site. If all the mucking about blows up the site, I can fix it in 2-minutes.

Dave, It looks great. Using IE I created a new user Mushmelon with security level 1. When I click on the folder icon to upload a file I recieve the following error "Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a004c'
Path not found" I am prevented from doing anything else.

Tony

Edit...Middle of the night brain fart on the East Coast...creating a new user was probably not one of the things we were supposed to play around with...seeing as 2 users logins were supplied.....MY BAD! (I deleted the user I created)

Very nice Dave...I assume there is a simple way to change the content of the email rather than using the note section.
I would love to be able to incorporate this audio distribution function into my site design! Thanks for the opportunity to mess around with it!

Excellent Dave! I tested with Firefox and was able to log in and upload and download without any problems. That is really cool! I could use that...IF I had any work to upload Wink

Dave,

I did a couple of minutes of quick testing with Firefox this morning as well and could find nothing that didn't work just the way I would expect. I'll try to find a few more minutes to play with it again later in the day.

Too bad I use a Linux web server... Frown

This is exactly the kind of thing I need for my site. It seems to work fine on Safari on my intel iMac, but I only spent a little time playing around with it, so I may have missed something.

The only problem is that my website is hosted on servers running Linux.

Maiku.

The error was caused because there was no folder on the server for the client. This was not an obvious part of the setup, so I have changed a bit of the code to make this process more fluid.

And YES... please create users, etc. It's all part of the program.

Wicked Swell!

Looks great-- so much nicer than a plain ol' Apache directory.

Is there a part of the script that determines font size?

I like this thing a bunch.

Font types and sizes are all determined by a Cascading Style Sheet (css). There are actually 2 css files depending on what page you’re on. I still need to get those combined.

The ADS as a whole comes from about 4 projects that I eventually combined into one, so there are still little things that I’ve been combining or refining.

My system is a combination of three things to do my bidding er! my clients bidding.

I use SiteLok, Anrdomeda and FileChucker to orchestrate a finely tuned collision of audio audition and distribution.

Dave,

I see you're also a CoffeeCup Ambassador. Very cool.
