So thanks to Dave Christie, I just manually changed the file ext, and everything worked out fine. I was a bit discouraged that by the time I finally got around to sending the audition on v123 there were bunch of folks who sent ahead of me.
Low and behold ten minutes after I sent the audition, I got a personal email back from the producer saying she wanted to submit my voice to the client for consideration. In short...this board rocks.
BTW, is DB the greatest or what?
I was a weekend anchor at NECN in Boston for 4 years and I think I heard you everywhere, DB. |

Well, I'm chiefly on WBZ, but that SEEMS like it's everywhere.
Thank you. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Yep, it's the Windows Media Player Update. Blasted thing kept me from following some links on this board for awhile. Finally figured out I couldn't open .swf files. All ok now. But back to you...if you want to go back to Quicktime or RealPlayer or whatever was your default, you can do so within the Preferences menu of said player. |
Ah - that's the problem with the .swf files. How did you get them to play again?
(And I thought I knew SO much about computers and software!)
Oh - I am going from AA1 to AA2 - never had AA1.5. _________________ Playing for a living...

6 of 1 half-dozen of the other. There were only minor upgrades from 1 to 1.1 to 1.5. _________________ Dave "Christi" Felton

Pardon me while I laugh at the absurdity of my having a "computer tip" for anyone on this board! I was tearing my hair out for a week trying to figure out why suddenly I couldn't open some links. Finally paid attention to the fact that most often it was an .swf. I installed Adobe Flash Player.
I'm still unclear as to the difference between the Shockwave & the Flash Player. I think I started there & it didn't work & then tried Flash Player (which did work.) Hope it works for you, too.
Now you see why I'm usually the one asking the software question rather than answering it! _________________ Mary |
