|
|
When a client asks for an MP3 file with no further specification, what is considered standard? Mono, 44100 sample rate, 16bit, 64kbps? Is it better to send it as 128kbps?
I loaded a couple of WAV files on to my website for a client to download. I found that they automatically opened rather than giving the option to download them. When I put MP3's on my site, when you click on the link, the download screen automatically pops up. Is there anything I can do to force the same thing for WAV files? I am using FrontPage 2002.
Thanks.
Elaine

Its interesting these days that it's not enough to just do voiceovers. If a client doesn't make a specific request, I wouldn't send anything less than 128.
What happens when you click on a file all depends on your computer and how it is configured. Some will play a file, some will ask you which program you want to use to open it. Your download screen automatically pops up because when it first asked you, you told it to download the file.
You could instruct your clients to "right mouse click" and "save target as" and that will save it every time.
I'm sure others will have great and handy tips for you. Good luck! |
