Have just watched a superb TV drama and one actor played a significant character in one scene. The actor looked familiar but I was caught up in the drama and hated the character. Who played played this spiteful woman? Should I speak to Maggie on the phone sometime soon I will compliment her on being so good I honestly didn't recognise her. That's acting!

That is the grandest compliment of all!

When the character is so compelling that you completely forget the actor—especially when it's a friend!
Please be sure to tell her. Sometimes, the greatest thing to hear is "I didn't even know it was you!"
