This is a kinda little thing, but on your Services page, you talk about the importance of white space, yet the sidebar where that text appears and the text links at the bottom are butted right up against the edges of your white background. Maybe go through and make sure there's a little white space to the right and bottom of your content from page to page.
On your home page you've got a rule under the textnav...I would even consider removing the rule and just putting an HTML break tag with a single space after it so that it renders as a bit of empty white space.
Some other stuff I noticed...
On your Resources page for example, you've got the two outside columns centered and the middle one left-justified. Since you also have multiple levels of headers / content (like in the VO Training in L.A. section), you may want to just left-justify all three columns and make sure they're each 1/3 of your total content width, to make the whole thing a little less frantic looking.
I also noticed your nav at the top is built in such a way that, at least in IE7, when you mouse over the nav items, the cursor doesn't change to the hand, it stays at the arrow, and the status bar at the bottom of IE7 doesn't update with the destination. I didn't really dig to see why that's happening, and it's probably no big deal ultimately, but some folks might think they can't click if they don't see the hand cursor they're used to seeing over anything that's "hot". Again, I doubt it'd really be an issue in reality.
Also, just curious, is there some reason your e-mail isn't at amysnively.com? I always recommend keeping branding consistent...if you've got your own domain, use e-mail at that domain as well.
FYI I really dig what you did with the FAQ section...I like the tone of how you worded your answers, light and playful, not harsh at all, even when you're talking about money and limitations on things, which can be quite tricky...really nicely done! _________________ Lou Zucaro

As usual, I'll leave the technical stuff in someone else's toolbox, but I like the overall mix of energy and sass the site delivers, Amy.
Seems so you, somehow.
Wasn't crazy about the Resources page layout...too jumbled.
And I'd have liked a more emphatic list of recent clients on the home page, and a few more demos or clips.
The texts and FAQ are very appealing.
Seem so you, somehow. |

Thanks for the kind words you guys! I appreciate it!
Resources page is under construction, so are all alignment things. I just turned the background it all sites on grey at 1:00am this morning, so adjustments need to be made.
My email address is amy#amysnively.com, but the hivelogic enkoder is down, so I have to use my old email address for now!
In fact, all of the issues you bring up, Lou, are already on the list! So that makes me feel like I'm moving in the right direction as I tweak along. I'm making it all myself, and I am learning as I go, so it's going s l o w...

Amy,
I like what you're doing with the site. I do have one question, what flash player are you using for your demos? It looks rather like the free one that works with Wordpress blogs, but I've never seen that one implemented anywhere except in a blog post. _________________ Be well,

and by the way, if you want to get rid of that annoying "click to activate this control" message in IE, let me know. It's super easy, I did it on my site. I'm happy to send you the files or walk you through it. _________________ Jeff
