|
|
Hey folks,
I have a problem with my old mixing board. It's nothing special, just 6 channels. It will short out now loose a channel or even loose the recording feed and I had a VERY important read to do last night and it dies!! I was very upset to say the least.
I'm tired of messing around with it and I'm buying a new board.
My current set up is a SP B Condencer Mic - ART Tube Pre - PreSonus blue max compressor - "sound board" - computer.
I like to do other recording projects and require a mixing board and know there are a few out there that have and interface builtin to them and I'm interested in that. Do you know of any good boards that do that and arn't very $$$?
Thanks,
Isaiah |

I've used a Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro for years... nere a hiccup along the way. I think I only paid $300 for it in 2000. I wouldn't be at all surprized to learn you could get even more bang for the buck for the same or similar model today. _________________ . Isaiah,
I too have been using a Mackie 1402VLZ for many years and with no problems whatever. Prior to that I used a Mackie 1202, also with years of no trouble. I only changed because I wanted to slider faders 1402 rather than the round fades on the 1202. _________________ Be well,

From what I hear the Alesis has a few problems... 1. drivers have issues with windows 2. There is a hum on some of the mixers during record mode.
You'd be better suited to save up for the Mackie VLZ not the top of the line but nowhere near the bottom either... especially for $300.00.
Mackie boards offer great preamps and very little headaches, they are good boards.
Or
Maybe look into getting you board serviced.
Good Luck,

In that case you might consider e-bay. They have several listed. Most under $200. _________________ . If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you. |
