weighing in here:
amanda, of the originals (page one, if you're following along...) i like #2 best. but....to me, the logo generally looks like she's about to take a very large bite out of that very old mic. i always like the waveform. tres cool.
jebus, bailey! see what you started? as for the pie comment, i can't believe deebs let that go...but then, that's my twisted twist.

Certain approaches to logo design can use the same ideas as brainstorming. You start with an idea... voice-overs, etc... and then think ridiculous, out of the box or even out of this world.
It wakes up the creativity of your mind. When you limit a conservative design to main stream ideas, you end up limiting the creative part of your brain.
The more ideas that you have to choose from, the better chance you will be able to put together a logo or web design that will be both unique and original.
