Hello gang:

Youssef here and in addition to hello, I've got an important question about pricing. A local (Orlando) D.J. group has asked me for some firm prices about my services and I'd like to make up a rate card or something that they can use. I have already done several jobs for this client and it is mostly for the people who are asking them "who is that guy doing your commercials and how much does he charge for such and such?" The stuff has been all internet commercials, but they want to know prices for quick stuff like "One-liners, drops, ID's, tags, etc." I have never put together a proper rate card before so any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Youssef

Here is a link to pricing information offered in our CV Newsletter this month http://www.commercialvoices.com/Apr_07.php

Click on "What do I charge for" and you will find a quick guide for pricing narrations and also at the bottom of the article more advanced guidelines for commercials for radio/TV and audio books etc.

Nice to see that info, Rick. As I said, once I get myself up and online, at least I have a nice set of numbers to work from. And, as I've stated elsewhere here before, I will NOT undercut the crak out of those numbers. That hurts both me and everyone in VO if I do so.
