Saw this on Voice-Over Savvy.com; looks interesting. Sorry if it's been posted before (didn't see it when I did a search).

A quick "booth" on the cheap. I'll have to try it. Anyone else tried it?

Yes I am currently using it now, but I'm not having the best of luck with it overall. I'm still getting a lot of ambient room noise.

Here is a link to my blog that talks about it. I link to the latest stuff needed to build it. Some of what Harlan mentioned in his article is hard to find now.

Rich,

I believe those set-ups....Stone Booth in a bag...Harlan's porta-booth are for putting the mic in and removing reflections that come off of walls more so than removing ambient noise. They may cut some ambient noise down a bit, but more for making your recording sound like it is not done in a big empty room.

I'm jus sayin'

There's actually a lot in the archives about that little rig.
Look up "Hogan" and snoop around.

Steve Stone also weighed in himself with a post about his setup.

That makes sense Ben. I'll admit I'm a neophyte when it comes to audio.
