| “Prankville” debuts Friday night, June 1st. (On my birthday, no less) It’s a new comedy TV series on CMT. “Prankville” is a combination of Candid Camera and Punk’d with a decidedly Country twist. I play the part of the narrator, commenting on the actors’ zany stunts as they set up elaborate pranks on their unsuspecting marks. For the audition CMT referenced Waylon Jennings’ work on The Dukes of Hazzard. I picked up a collection of Dukes at Blockbuster, studied it and decided to throw in a hint of a couple of my other Southern VO heroes namely, Rex Allen, Hoyt Axton and Andy Griffith. Tune in Friday night at 9:00 Central and let me know if you think I hit the mark as well as these crazy comedic actors do. –Pat Duke |
