more like 11K in US currency.
Faders look a tad small, not sure about the control wheel, and no real specs.
Somehow I think I'll pass on this one for now, but it is a very interesting product. If it's got half-decent specs and the SW works as advertised it'll could be a great boon to the home/mobile recording community _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

When you buy yours get two, one for me... they will probably give you a discount - or not.
Cute, but reminds me of a Sony product which didn't go too far...

This is a video editor/live switcher as well, isn't it?
When you think about it, we VO folks have it pretty good. It doesn't take nearly the horsepower to do audio as video. Plus those audio interfaces (with XLR 's and pre's) are so small you can throw one in your laptop bag and be good to go.
Of course I'm the same guy who has this portable setup but hasn't been on vacation since 2000.
(Note to self to check the setup to be sure it still works.)
Wait. Someone once said that when you work from home, every day is a vacation. (Bwha ha ha ha!!!)
I keep thinking about those TV/VCR's. When one of the two breaks, you have a heavier, useless TV or VCR. |

That thing is nifty but WAYYY overkill for your needs!
I build a custom studio in a case I call the "VO2GO" so that Voice actors CAN go on vacation! It runs either AudioTX or Source Connect, and most users bridge to ISDN using the services of outofhear.com
I have 15 of them out there in use so far, including one in the hands of Don LaFontaine.

Brian,
(Warning, mild threadjack in progress here.) Speaking of Don LaFontaine, have you noticed how much you look like him in your new avatar? _________________ Be well,

Soundgun,
Enjoyed your site! I didn't see VO2GO on eldorec.com. Would this be it? With the exception of ISDN this is sort of what I have. A computer, audio interface and mixer. Nice tight case in the "outofhear" site.
Bob, Ditto on the Brian comment. <g> |

Yes sir, that is the one. I've been so busy I haven't built a page or FAQ about it yet on eldorec.com, but it is long overdue.
This kit is targeted to those that have ISDN at home and need to maintain the same level of service while on the road. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

George,
That warning was meant in a friendly way, just FYI. I had a sleeping baby in my arms and it was easier to copy and paste that rather than type one handed. But glad you got the message.
Welcome aboard. You should post a little about yourself in the chat section so everyone can get to know a little bit about you and say hello.
Bob,
I hadn't thought about it. Somebody take a note, I'm sure that's the only time I'll ever be compared to the Don. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

George,
I've been a quiet fan of yours since the article in Mix. I just figured you were in that West Coast League that is often too busy for the little guys.
I also appreciate your VT ties. My cousin's son was a gobbler (Hokie), as a matter of fact, he was assistant Sports Infomation Director.
So, if I need a laptop to run Adobe Premier Pro to mix audio and video, as well as acquire audio into Audition as you describe above, I should call your numbers listed on the Eldorado site?
Great to have here, thanks for contributing.

I am flattered, Willie, Thank you. I am getting busier and busier, but when possible I like to contribute to groups like this. I learn about what the needs and concerns are of the VO people from the discussions.
Send me an email, that would be my preferred method of contact, but we can talk as well. I could get a PC Laptop set up for your needs, absolutely. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
