Hi folks, wondered if I might get some feedback on a rate quote for the following. Gig is a read for a :60 TV spot that'll air on the ESPNU
(national cable) network in a couple of game broadcasts per week from July through October (baseball season basically)... Client is looking for me to quote a buyout on this, with the possibility of it being used in both '07 and '08 season. Any thoughts or reference points much appreciated!

Best Regards

MikeE

voices.com posted a non-union rate sheet a while ago: http://blogs.voices.com/voxdaily/2006/07/nonunion_standard_rates_help_s.html.

Or if you really want to get confused beyond belief, take a look at AFTRA:

Your mileage may vary.

Appreciate that Jeff -- tho I have to correct my original description - Client
is now looking at a :30 so at least that variable is a little more standard to
figure with...
My initial instinct was in the realm of 750 based on the (alleged) single-network
usage -and generously figuring a 13 wk cycle...however - if being used 2 years straight some higher multiple above that figure seems appropriate.... (1300/
1500 total?)

(this is why i love Agents so very much : )

Rick Gordon had a rate sheet that quoted:
TV: National Network = $2000

Voice123 lists:
TV National: $2,210 - $3,010

Cable usually won't pay as much, however.

Personally, I'd be handing this gig over to an agent. An agent can be the bad guy and you can still be the sparkly, talented, easy-to-work-with person they love. When I get a biggish, or confusing gig, even if I land it through my own sweat, I just choose the most appropriate agent for the situation and hand it off. It feels great and it's so worth it!

Good luck!
