|
|
Quote: | AudioBooksForFree.com Ltd is looking for voice-over-artists and narrators (with own recording and editing facilities) to participate in revolutionary 100% ROYALTIES PROGRAMM.
You record and produce in your studio the audiobooks for us and we sell it to our customers.
All payments for your recording/production will be paid to your PayPal account. (Payment itself will be processed through your own PayPal account).
No setup fees, commissions or ongoing costs of any kind.
Delivery: WAV on DVD or CD.
This could be excellent way to monetise the quiet time when you and your studio are idle in expectation of those lucrative advertising voiceover jobs.

I seem to be a lightning rod for absurdity recently.
Have we had this posted here before? It seems so familiar.
I loved the Kalashinkov MP3 player.
The magazine/player:
and the kalashnikov girls:
The the guy who thought it up:
How is it audio books "for free" when they're for sale?
Public domain works recorded by pro vos who get paid when someone buys the recording?
teh wild.
I looked for "audiobooksforfree" in the archives and came up blank. Maybe it was in the WORK forum. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

It's a cute idea, and it works like this:
Number of Files
Several mp3-files (FREE) 8 Kb/sec [FREE] Bearable quality
One zip-file ($3 USD Zipping Charges)
When zip-file is unzipped it contains several MP3 files
Several mp3-files with Short filenames ($2 USD)
16 Kb/sec ($3 USD) Tolerable quality
24 Kb/sec ($5 USD) Reasonable quality
32 Kb/sec ($6 USD) Good quality
48 Kb/sec ($7 USD) Very good quality
And, you may also buy it on CD's or DVD's.
For more information: http://www.audiobooksforfree.com/screen_main.asp
Voice Artists get paid a percentage of the net.
I am not supporting or decrying this particular venture, but it is interesting.
Toodles

I believe the Kalishnikov girls were inspired by some characters in a Chekhov play . . . Commander, that is - not Anton. |

I'm thrilled beyond all. Gee whiz gang. Guess I won't be on the board for several weeks while I spend all my free time recording public domain books that I may or may not ever get paid for. _________________ Dave "Christi" Felton

If I'm going to read books aloud for free, I'll do it for the blind and learning disabled, thankyouverymuch.

I never get any invites like that.
... do they know something about me that I don't know?
OK... I get it now... they only send invites to VO artists.

I hope some of the savings goes to feeding the kalashnikov girls. They appear undernourished and can't even afford clothing! Poor dears. I better take them in. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

AudioBooksForFree is a member of the Audio Publishers Association. Nothing like the appearance of the Kalashnikov Girls to lively up APAC and the book expo. Pretty much guarantees I'll be there next year. |
