Deirdre,
Do my ears deceive me or is that the work of our beloved Mr. Banks? _________________ Be well,

I had a DJ friend who almost passed out trying to "walk up" Isaak Hayes "Theme from Shaft." |

I love being at a party surrounded by radio people....when there's music in the background they ALWAYs talk right up to the post - then stop. _________________ Moe Egan

Bill: Add "Color My World" by Chicago to that list. I heard someone ride that ramp so long I thought it was just a bed for a commercial...

My favorite intro rap I witnessed live. It was the legendary K.O. Bayley his first night on the air at KSEA in San Diego. He came on the air right after my shift (it's amazing the people you meet on their way down as you're on your way u . He put on the live concert version of "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Stones (not on our play list of course) and did this rambling, growling, crescendoing open to his show, timed perfectly, ending with "I have had my razor blade soup and my hand grenade sandwich...and I have come for to take your daughter!"
You know, I think of all those times I said things like "and now here's a request from Linda in La Mesa for 'Seasons in the Sun'", and I weep at my wimpiness. Sigh.
