|
|
Hello Gang,
I have been asked to quote a price on the folowing:
10 sec tag for a 60 sec spot on Nationwide PBS Broadcast during pledge week in December.
This is a one-time buy out. This would be my first nationwide gig. I've done regional and local spots/tags, but am not quite sure what to quote for a Notional job.
Any advice on developing a price would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It should be!
For national exposure, make a high call.
Robert's direction is good. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

So, let's say it's non union. I still think you should look up the union rate and use that as your pricing guide. Remember, scale is a floor, not a ceiling!

I would like to nominate the above quote for quote of the day. _________________ - Peter

In the context of the quote, "Scale" is the minimum fee for which an artist should work and therefore refers to an amount of money not the fabric of a building (interior). As such the nomination for "Quote of the day" is inappropriate. Sorry about that Peter. |

Call your area AFTRA office and get the rate, then figure out what you want to do. _________________ Bobbin Beam

i'm glad philip is back ... i've been going through the day without that feeling of utter confusion that i often get after his posts.
to paraphrase so many of the women i dated in the past, "it's not you, philip, it's me." _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

This is no help at all probably, but our local PBS station pays a whopping $50 for those short sponsorship reads they run before and after shows they present locally.

Bruce,
Thankfully, the one I did that runs nationally before and after Curious George every day paid a fair number of multiples more than that. _________________ Be well,
