I recently bought an old Shure 556s.

It's beautiful mic, but the foam inside has deteriorated and falls apart when it's touched.

Anybody know where to find similar foam, in a sheet, so I can replace it myself? It's awfully thin, about 1/8" I'd say.

I tried Shure, but no call back so far.

Thanks,

Craig

Why not get it from Shure? They stock stuff like that.

Checked the SHURE website... they didn't carry the foam windscreen for the 556S. I did find the SHURE 556S spec sheet. You may have to find a local audio shop that may carry bulk foam sheets.

Thanks Bailey for the Spec Sheet. That's cool to have. I found other models on Coutant's web site, but not specifically for the 556s. Nifty!
