Okay, long story short...

I'm looking to replace the travel stand that I'm currently using in the personal room. Durability and ease of use are the important factors to me.

I was thinking about something like the Manhasset Conductor stand, since I like having the extra space, but I'm not too certain about how it's joints work or how durable they are.

Any recommendations?

Manhasset makes a traveling stand called a Voyager, but I must admit the Rat Jazz stand is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time (in jazz stands).

I have a Manhasset at home, but dang-- I'm with Bruce— The Rat Stand is the bomb.

Thanks, Philip for the nifty recommendation!

I'm a Manhasset owner as well.

My plan is to one day get a touch-screen flat panel monitor and run that off my dual video card so I can have the same display inside and outside the booth. My imagination tells me it'll be sweet!

I bought my music stand from the guitar center.
It was a proline one and it was about $30.
Does the job perfectly. Very solid
I don't think there's any need to spend more.

I must admit that both the Jazz and Opera are very nice looking models. I'm somewhat keen on one or two of the lamps as well (though they're definitely overpriced as lamps go).

I like their Studio Stand since the support post is off to one side.

Any of these is far better than what I'm using now. I take my copy and stick the top of it into the wedges of my acoustic foam and let it hang there.
