Jeff Robinov's new decree.

Quote:
Warner Bros president of production Jeff Robinov has made a new rule that “We are no longer doing movies with women in the lead”, according to DeadlineHollywood. Apparently, Robinov won’t even look at a script with a female lead.

The rest of the story from SlashFilm.

Yipes.

Backward at the speed of light.
Kinda.

Idiot to believe this way.
Bigger idiot to say it out loud.
Idiot.

Here's an interesting trivia fact: A little more than half the U.S. population is female, and there are reportedly a lot of women in other countries too. Many of these women own purses.

Well I think it's time to get my purse (if I had a purse) and go after the "id jit". Hey, I am not being politically correct here, but I have to say I like women in lead roles showing their masculinity and their femininity.

Oh well, I do not watch many WB films lately... ever since they dumpedme for someone who sounded "younger, taller, and with more hair". Before that time I did the imaging for 29 WB stations. I guess I was too "old, fat, and sassy" for their core(?) audience.

Toodles

Shouldn't tell this story...but I will anyway...

1 year and 1 month ago I was brought into a meeting. I was told they wanted a more 'male dominated' show and I should talk less. [at the time we had hit #1]

I resigned.

Their women numbers dropped 80%.

It took them a year to recover.

May the same happen to WB Smile

Idiot.

I won't lie...it felt good. It had been in the back of my mind for a while, but having my in-the-moment reaction be 'I think I need to resign' made me feel like I could conquer anything Smile And watching a building-full of mouths drop open was priceless!

I would love to see Jody Foster, et al do the same thing. Nothing like a bunch of movies with only men in them to break the box office records Bitchin

Oh no, they are remaking Thelma and Louise . . .

I think Jodie Foster should play Kara in the biopic. Clearly this won't be a WB (or a Disney!) flick, but it's bound to be box office gold.
