These mics appear too inexpensive to be true. Is anyone using one for V.O.? I use RE-20's exclusively....but I kinda wonder if these guys have something as-good-as or better....and cheaper. Thoughts?

mmmmm, they say it sounds like a 44-BX ... if that's true, for $160, i want one.
i think bill & i have had this conversation before ... ribbon mics are making a comeback. they are NOT, however, beat-around mics. they must be cared for gently. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Right. You can't hammer nails with them like you could with an EV 666 but these new ribbons aren't nearly as delicate as the older ribbons like the 44 BX for instance. The new ribbons are made tough enough to sit in front of a guitar amp. You could blow out the ribbon of a 44 BX with an errant plosive. Some older classic mics would damage the ribbon if you closed the lid on their box too fast. |

Very interesting. Would somebody buy one of these for me and ship it over if I send them the money? |

Wow. I can't wait for someone to take this for a spin. I think I want one.
This confused and frightened me. Is it just a matter of "too much information for the likes of you, don't worry your pretty little head", or am I going to be confused when trying to hook this puppy up? _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

Whew. Thanks, Todd. That's a hobby I'm not likely to take up any time soon! _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

Meh, you don't know what you're missing.
...and it's faster than waiting for someone to do it for you (waited 8 weeks and counting for his Redco order, lol; should be here this week) _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser
