the end piece with its production elements stands out for me. move it up?
i so like listening to you.

Bruce,

Your demo just doesn't work for me. Can you do a job later today?

Actually, the demo brilliant. This is an example of a true "great" in our industry. Thank you for sharing (I am so jealous),

Toodles

Bruce, it's awesome. One tiny comment - in the medical one, in the phrase following "keyhole technique" - your word/syllable emphases sound kind of random, as if you're reading the words without understanding them or caring about them. You might slow that one down a bit and say the words more clearly. Apart from that, it's terrific!

Thank you for the compliments. Actually, the client listens carefully to these and this was what they wanted. Doctors are their audience and they prefer a fairly dry read. The phrase that pays is:

"And a cryo-preserved, size-matched, lateral femoral condylar allograft, fixed with Accutrack screws".

All of the big words ahead of allograft are adjectives to allograft, so it is a trick to pick the emphases. For those just dying to know what it all means... working backwards, an allograft is a transplanted part from another body, and it's a bump from the side of a leg bone, it's the right size and it was frozen for your protection. Them medical reads is fun.

I am soooo glad you said that...

... and I didn't.

People tell me all the time, "GO LISTEN TO GOOD DEMOS!" / "FIND DEMOS ON VOICEBANK!!!" / "LISTEN TO WHAT'S GOOD AND FIGURE OUT WHY IT'S GOOD!!!" / "SPEAK IN CAPITAL LETTERS AND USE PLENTY OF EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!"

The decidedly URGENT nature of these suggestions aside, many of us newbies are left to sift through thousands of VoiceBank demos that may not be so "good." Some of them are decades old, some of them are barely audible, some of them are poorly categorized, some of them are from retired talent, some of them don't make sense, some sound poorly produced. My response to all the suggestions about demos is, "Wait, where are the beautiful demos?"

But I've just had an epiphany! THIS is what people are talking about when they refer to a GREAT demo.

A GREAT demo is something you enjoy listening to! Cheers to that, Bruce!

Bruce.... wow. This is truly a special gift you have!

Bret - you might want to listen to demos from certain agents on voicebank... such as those from Atlas Talent and Vox in LA.

Great demo Bruce! Just a shade long in my honest opinion, but when it's a good as your voice is, people will keep listening.
