Yup. I got two years domain registry and web hosting from them for the low, low price of 95 dollah.

Just looked at that site...dayum! That's a good deal. Here I am just in training, don't even plan on cutting a demo until the end of the year, and that's probably the best domain deal I'll ever see. I'll keep my fingers crossed someone comes up with a special like that when I'm actually ready to start marketing.

PJ...At that price, you might as well buy it & sit on it until you're ready to get your website going. Not only does that give you the insurance that the domain name you want will be yours (if it's available now), but you can put up something basic for the time being & give the search engines something to index.

Go Daddy is pretty good for domain registrations all of the time...their regular price for a reg. is $8.95 per year.

8.95 a year is considerably better than what i remember verisign charged me last time around.

when the time comes to renew, how does one switch to a lower-cost service like this one without running the risk of losing the domain name?

this is an area i'm totally in-the-dark on.
