It began snowing at the top of the hour here in Frost Heaves, Massachusetts. So far, an inch and it's coming down steadily. The roads are giant slides... and the store is already out of ice melt.
We're hunkering down...

I went out at 9 this morning to get errands done, thinking I had until around 2 before the snow hit but it started at 11:30. The half hour drive home took 2 hours. I've shoveled the driveway twice but hubby still isn't home - he only has 10 miles to go. Four of our 5 colleges closed early today, all the schools closed early, other places of business probably did too and my little town is a parking lot. Plus something happened to a couple of tractor-trailers on the interstate right by our exit, adding to the mayhem.
The good news is that we have lots of food in the house |

This thing hit us right about 1 p.m. and in about 20 minutes an inch had fallen. I ran over to the store to pick up a few things to make potato soup, and by the time I left, the 2.5-mile drive home stretched to 25 minutes. The road was an ice rink.
Like you,I am happy that there is food in the house. Now, as long as the electricity stays on, we can cook it!

stay safe, peeps. the one inch that fell while i was in new england wreaked havoc (that and the dreaded black ice), and had me postpone a short drive to boston, which was a good call.

It started here about 9:30am....just as I was starting a 3 hour VO session at a studio a half hour drive from home!
It took 90 minutes to get home after the session ended....but people were actually driving slowly!
It's raining ice right now.
Had small hail this morning!
The crockpot is making dinner so all is good!

If it was SNOW I'd be in the hot tub NOW!
But it's heavy, wet sleet...YUCK.
But yeah...we LOVE the hot tub...especially after skiing!

...well...since most of the crap is mine & my mom's....
Just came in from shoveling...not that you can even tell with it coming down so fast.
