It could be a geeky psyche-you-out joke— I hope so!
One of my pals at a guitar forum said that he and his mates. . .
Quote: | . . .did something like that once at a party. Of course, the circuit the extension cord was plugged into was disconnected at the breaker box. The radio on the table was running on batteries.
People pretty much freaked out. |

Last week my local bank was robbed. Turns out the perp had told his roommate he was going to the bank to get some money. He took a cab and told the cabbie to wait. He went in, scored a few hundred bucks and left. The cabbie told police later that the guy had a lot of money in his wallet when he paid him.
I lie not.
Thank-you, Darwin, for taking care of situations like this promptly. |

CRIPES!
I did that once, but not on purpose. My washing machine (second floor) once flooded down the stairs into the basement all day. I stepped down into 6 inches of water, only to look directly across the room at my computer's power strip floating all on its own in the water WITH THE POWER SWITCH LIGHT STILL GLOWING.
I slowly backed out (as it was already causing it to bob in the waves of my footstep) thinking to myself,
"We should be dead Vincent, we should be dead!" |
