I still have my SPL Channel One for sale. If you are looking for a great tube preamp with built-in compressor, de-esser and EQ, you can't go wrong with this unit. The compressor is very simple to use. It uses only one knob and it really works great. The de-esser is totally transparent, one of the best available anywhere. The EQ can be adjusted in very fine increments to get exactly the right amount. Also, each stage has its own button so that you can cut it completely out of the audio chain if desired.

I know that not many people are familiar with this unit, so here is a link for more info... http://www.spl-usa.com/Channel_One/in_detail.html

This unit has the custom Lundahl transformers. It is in excellent condition, not a scratch or problem of any kind. It's basically like new. I paid $1450 for it and I am selling it for $900.

PM me if you have any questions.

Nick

See Nick's earlier post.

I bought Nick's microphone last week (I know, I've been a microphone hog but I could. not. resist). It is a lovely mic and is indeed in perfect condition. Nick hasn't been on the boards for a long time because of other commitments, and I've missed him here because he was always incredibly helpful and put a lot of thought into all his gear choices and was happy to share his experience and knowledge.

So, I'm sorry he's not going to be around to contribute to the gear discussions, but am still happy to plunder his stuff. Inoccent

Tom, yes I did.

Did I inquire ahead of time to find out what kind of cable I would need?
