How do you know what your RSS Feed link is for your blog? I need to add it to my MyBlogLog profile but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is... _________________ Tom Dheere - The "H" is Silent, but I'm Not!

Thanks, Jeff. I must have drank an extra cup of stupid this morning.
If you click on the RSS button it takes you to the RSS feed and there's an option at the top of the page to subscribe to the blog. Is that what you're referring to? _________________ Tom Dheere - The "H" is Silent, but I'm Not!

No, that's not what I mean. In many browsers including IE7 (and probably Firefox), a button will light up in the browser indicating that there is a feed available for the page you are on. As well, Google Reader has a little widget/button you can install in your browser that does the same thing. Just hit the button and you're subscribed. It makes it super easy for your audience to subscribe without having to scroll all the way to the bottom to hunt it down. To enable this, put the following meta tag at the top of your HTML right after the Meta tags:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Subscribe to the Rognog Blog" href="http://www.tomdheere.com/.feed/blog.html"> _________________ Jeff

Are you saying that I should insert that code you made every time I post a blog entry? (Sorry, dude. This isn't my area...) _________________ Tom Dheere - The "H" is Silent, but I'm Not!

nope, only put it once at the homepage of your blog.
But really this brings up the question: Why isn't your blog software doing this for you? _________________ Jeff

I use Yahoo Geocities for my website. Their blog service is Yahoo 360. It's pretty basic but the monthly fee is extremely low so there you go... _________________ Tom Dheere - The "H" is Silent, but I'm Not!

Wordpress is even cheaper, free. And it's pretty much the standard these days along with Typepad and Blogger. A blog service without RSS auto-discovery? Meh. _________________ Jeff
