I did a VO recently for a Flash-type presentation that I thought you might enjoy seeing. I thought it was for a home development at first, but for the price of this house you could BUILD a home development!

You did a superb job, Bruce. Nothing to do with you but I lost the will to live about 1 minute into the presentation. Anyone with dial-up needs to ensure they have no plans for Christmas. |

Bruce, I could have done that VO so much better than you.
Bwa ha ha ha ha ha
I crack myself up sometimes.
I'll take one - if the voice comes with the house.
As soon as I make it big. So make sure you're not doing anything for Christmas in the year 3005 honey. |

I certainly would like to be the realtor! I have to admit, I watched that presentation and it would have been a total failure without your vo - very nice. _________________ Genus |

Bruce!!! When I first bought that place I actually commented to Robert Sibulkin (my personal realtor on the West Coast) that I really liked the voice on the promotional video and was interested in retaining him for one of my national television campaigns for Viagra. But he told me that you weren't available and that he'd already promised you a 3% commission on the sale, so it's too bad that we didn't get the chance to work together, but I hope you're enjoying your $517,500 payday! You're Welcome!
Anyway, I actually bid a bit high on the place just to guarantee that I got it ($17.25 million, a mere spit in the bucket when compared to my actual net worth), and I've gotta say, the new grotto that I had built onto the pool has been the highlight of my summer... next of course to the month long caribean tour aboard my 110' yacht, fully stocked with the best cognac and the most beautiful Women on the face of the planet... oh yeah, Hef and the "girls" keep commenting on the grotto as well... but I digress.
And now that I've been pinched out of my day dream filled with luxurious fantasy...
Great representation Bruce, I really like how you brought it to life and in all honesty you really make the property feel that much more appealing!

Nice touch. I've never seen VO being used in that type of presentation. I can see where it could be used ... in a much shorter presentation... with places like Realtor.com. Looking at a bunch of photos of a place w/o a descriptive message gets boring after awhile. If it ever catches on, I hope they realize that a professional voice definitely makes a difference. The last thing I want to hear is some realtor... who thinks his (untrained) voice can sell... mouthing off about real estate. _________________ "Bailey"

Bruce's voice is the ONLY classy thing about the Flash piece.
<begin webmaster rant>
I couldn't believe that after waiting five minutes on DSL for the original piece to load, that every OTHER piece required wait time, too. Ridiculous.
There's no reason it should have taken that long to load...especially with still pictures. I would have expected live video, with wait times like that.
Exactly why I believe Flash is overrated...any time you make a viewer wait for something, it'd better be worth the wait. And it rarely is.
<end webmaster rant>
Now. Where's my coffee? |

Excellent job Bruce! I would've bought it just by listening to it and not even seeing a pic.
On the webmaster side, it was slightly on the "heavy" side...much too heavy to stream as it should have. |

Great job Bruce!! But whoever put together this flash had to be inexperienced or out of his mind -- and the home owner probably paid for this..... I am on a wireless, highspeed connection. Yikes!

I have a very fast Internet connection so the wait times between segments are very short (a second or so), so it plays pretty well for me, but I can imagine how hard it is to view otherwise. I'll take your observations and pass them on.

Hi Bruce,
The observation about load time is valid. I'm running consumer grade Comcast highspeed Internet and there's violation of the 7 second rule.
When ATM's were being introduced (not so many years ago), studies showed that consumers would NOT use the machines if they had to wait more than 7 seconds at any time. Most people will think something's broken. |

Hi Bruce,
I have to agree, I'm afraid. I'm on a wireless highspeed connection and it just took me 18 minutes to get through the presentation! (If there was an Emoticon that showed fingers rattling on a desk impatiently then I would insert it here). Of course this is from the UK where, I believe, download speeds are somewhat behind. But Banksey didn't seem to have a problem, so who knows?
Anyway, excellent read, in my opinion. :wink: _________________ Simon Fellows

As always, smoothe as silk and imagery that's crystal clear. Only fitting that a sixteen-and-a-half mill property be imaged by a first rate talent. |
