I've been working on an exciting new project for Highlights Magazine (remember, the one we all read as kids?).

It's called Ask Arizona- Arizona is a 12 year old girl that answers questions from her readers with a little story of her own. It's been a staple in the magazine for quite some time, and I was asked to turn the story into a monthly podcast. I get to do a wide variety of voices (mom, dad, grandma, siblings. friends, etc) all from the perspective of Arizona. I also do all of the production (a first for me for a project of this magnitude).

The first episode is finally online!! I especially wanted to post it because you will notice 3 wonderful kid's voices in the intro to the podcast.

That would be David Souer (Bob's boy), and Olivia and Samantha Haymond (Brian's girls)!! I am so proud of them, and thankful they were able to help out!

OK- no more gushing...I'm just excited Smile Here's the link to the Arizona Zone:

http://www.highlightskids.com/Stories/arizonaZone/az_top/arizonaZone_Top.asp

It's the very first episode, and I think they are only getting better as we all settle in and know what to expect. A new one should be posted each month!

Sounded great to me!

I am getting over a really nasty cold myself which means if I'd done the story it would have sounded like it was being read by Don Corleone. Probably not the right sound for this audience.

Ciao for now!

I just listened to it with Brian (my youngest brother) He said that it was good. I liked it too. I'm also getting over a cold. I hope your husband gets better. Watching the morning show on WBTV, he's had quite a frog in his throat.

So was that one of your cats providing the voice for Cow, or was it a stock clip?

It was cool hearing David too.

Eric, It was a stock clip Smile You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a sweet sounding cat!

Yes, the husband is in bed with a 103 degree temperature. He's still trying to make it in to work this week, since it is a TV ratings month. In fact, I'm off in a few minutes to stock up on soup and OJ!

David did a great job- and next time we'll have to include all the talented Souer kids!!!

Oh my goodness! 103. He didn't seem that bad this morning. Do the ratings count DVRing a program? Cause I'm not getting up at 6 just to watch the news Laugh

Cool beans Kara! That really sounds fun.

You had my one cat totally hypnotized! I'm lying on the floor watching the Duke - UNC game and playing the clip back through my laptop. She came down off of her pillows and set down beside me staring at the laptop listening to your voice. It must have been because there was a bit about cats.
