Yes, I own two Ferrari's and one Lamborghini and the '08 Ferrari is the best by far. I am about to sell my Lotus....I'll post it in the gear section. _________________ Ben

Please note (just because the previous quote was a bit mangled) that I did NOT say that I owned both a Ferrari and a Lamborghini...that was Yoda who said that _________________ Lou Zucaro

Diane,
You're never too old to learn, and you are certainly not too old. _________________ Be well,

Yes and I just ordered a...
Bugatti Veyron 16.4
The Veyron uses a 16-cylinder, 1001-hp motor.
Being the succesful Voice Talent that I am I felt I should splurge. |

Still do models, but gave up hotwheels years back Jeff.
1979 Countach in midnight blue. Went for about 10K in 1995 (needed a ton of work). I got it running, but never back to full working order and eventually sold it off to someone who truly appreciated it.
Ferrari was a 1963 250 GT/E. One of the few more mass-produced models from the company. I'd love to get my hands on a Dino, but I'm not insane enough to pay those prices (250K for a USED car? No thank you).
When I get home, let me put up some pics of a Lotus some guys at work are restoring. We've got quite the collection of vehicles around the workplace.
/I blame my grandfather... he was partial to Aston Martin and Jaguars from the 50s (HK150s, etc.)
//still can't beat the Lexus or Acura for reliability... but that's not why you get into cars, is it? _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Nicely done, Mr. Kafer!
Greg...I'm almost positive you're "not allowed" to refer to anything with 1001 hp as a "motor" _________________ Lou Zucaro

We're not in the Navy.
It's not a Jet.
The damn thing had to work before I'm willing to count HP.
I spent more than double what I paid for that thing and it never really worked right. At best my dad and I got like 10 miles out of the thing.
I always thought that the MGs were a piece of junk until I got that car.
(ironically, my dad had a Vega 2-door hatchback while I was growing up... your post reminded me that while I hated his Vega, the joke was that it still ran better than the overpriced Italian paperweight).

engine, motor...what do you call 4 banks of 4 cylinder, each bank turbocharged for a total of 4 turbos....somehow...neither engine or motor works. |

I call it "expensive"
I'm a Lamborghini fan from way back, but there's something magical about the Veyron. And, of course, I dig that it's an Italian nameplate.
Speaking of which, how's about that Alfa 8C? Puuuuurrrty! _________________ Lou Zucaro

No, but "expensive to maintain" comes to mind.
You know Lou, you can always get one of the older cars coming from Italy/UK. Much cheaper, but regardless you'll be spending time and $ on maintenance.
The Espada series aren't bad and their engines held up better than most.
At the least it's a hobby which makes VO look sane by comparison _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

As far as cars go, I like to look and I like to drive. Getting in and fixing things...that's not something I have the know-how or passion to do, really. _________________ Lou Zucaro
