I guess it's really the "Producer's Console."

You know... I actually have a unit very similar to that one!

I find that the top half is pretty easy to use, simple controls, a bit hard and edgy on the audio processing, and pretty cut and dried and I find that the off switch doesn't work very well!

As for the bottom half, I love all of the features a great deal, when I hit the right mix of levels and press the proper buttons, boy does it make some sweet music. But every once in a while I'll turn the wrong nob, or use an incorrect button and man oh man!!! The feedback is awful!

The damndest thing of it is, that it doesn't come with a user manual and it seems that all of the tech support people I go to for advice tell me wildly different things on how to operate it.

I'd say it's worth the investment, just beware of what you may end up with!

If you don't treat the unit very delicately and always apologize even if you didn't do anything, it may become a costly disharmony producer. Yiou are right Kevin, I found the lower panel complicated and hard to understand.

Greg

PS -- I have had to trade in several previous units that turned out to be most disharmonious (I need to check the spelling, or is it dis-hormone-ious??), but I finally got the right harmonious and compatible unit. Third time's a charm. Caution to anyone who stumbles across one of my pervious units -- RUN!!!

Once again ...the old adage... Men speak in BOLD print...Women speak in Fine print. Smile

As I sit here, contemplating how best to approach my unit, I came to the realization that I didn't actually pay for it up front... however there have been continual requests for contributions/payments over the years from the seller. I always willingly and somewhat blindly make the payment... as I think about it further I realize that the largest payments have typically been made, when I press the wrong button or turn the incorrect knob, resulting in a near meltdown and what appears to be a irreperable damage. In the end, the payment seems to fix the problem with the innevitable reality that another meltdown is simply one incorrect knob turn or button press away.

Use with caution, but don't forget "the payments are in your best interest buddy! At least if you want that toggle switch flicked!"

My experience with this particular unit is that it needs a fair amount of maintenence. However, if you keep banging the bottom half with passion, mixed with consideration and tenderness, you get a pleasant modulation from the whole device.

It also helps to listen very carefully to every bit of audio from this lower unit and nod appreciatively. Do this properly and you will suffer very few glitches.
