Hello Everyone,

My name is Michael Flowers and I am new to the boards here on vo-bb.com.

I just wanted to introduce myself before you see all the messages from me popping up everywhere.

I've been officially "in business" now for a year and have already had lots and lots of success. I've dreamed of being a pro VO artist as long as I can remember and now I am finally there!

I am a graduate of CSB School of Broadcasting in Nashville, TN. I work part time at Best Buy and do full-time voice over and web design. I also run a blog for developing voice over artists. Check it out here. there's some great tips on there.

Like an article from Bettye Zoller, one of my VO mentors. She's written a really great article and given me permission to use it on my blog! Check it out.

I am getting married in July to a wonderful girl named Eve. We met when I went to school for music at Indiana University for a couple of years.

I want to help however I can, that's what I am all about. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you might have, that's what I am here for.

I look forward to putting my two cents into the great jar of collective wisdom on this board!

Best Wishes!

Michael... Welcome to the VO-BB. The only bulletin board recommended by 9 out of 10 dentists and the only Voice Over Bulletin Board with a Llama mascot. There's much to read and much to learn.

My stepfather graduated from IU in his mid 70's with a Bachelors degree.

Really? The guys in East Tennessee are that smart? Who knew?! Ninja

Hi Michael. You are among the best of the best here. Welcome! However, I am a Purdue Boilermaker so time will tell if we can really get along Wink

Enjoy the archives and the wild ride,
Amanda

Oops. My failed attempt at humor.

Reading it fast, and disregarding the separation between the two thoughts, in my head it played like the guys in East Tennessee were the ones we were to learn from. But of course I understood that it was the seasoned professionals here on the Board that you were referring to. Truly, please accept my apologies for any offense. Hiking in the Smokies actually hold some of the best memories of my life. Plus, the fact that I had to explain this proves that it really wasn't that funny.

Move along, please, there was nothing to see there...

I didn't take it that way. My response was my weak attempt at humor too!
No problem, and next trip to the Smokies please stop by for a visit.
