Here's what I need...
Big enough to hold 3 pieces with space in between (preamp, digi rack, and eventually isdn codec)
Got to have a wood finish since it'll be out in the main office with cable running into the "studio" er closet.
Needs to have a lockable door (my kids LOVE buttons, knobs & shiny things)
I'm thinking about building one. Anyone ever tried? |

Tom, try having a quick peek in HERE ... hope it helps! You'll even find a detailed plan for one. |

that's a great post Edo. There are several places you can download plans. I made an isolation box for my computer and a rack box for my outboards. They are really pretty easy to make.
Good luck. Let me know if I can help. |

crap! last fall i gave away a 7' rack with a smoked glass door & fans in the top & bottom - TecRack - it was just taking up space. timing is everything. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Thanks guys!
I checked out Lou's link and I'm getting a custom all wood unit built with a locking door. I'll post a pick once I've got it set up and full of all the goodies I've been picking up this week. |

As promised here it is. I'm really happy with the rack although I should've had him stain it a little darker. If anyone's interested the site is nice-racks.com

Very classy indeed. I like the stain because it brings out the grain in the wood.
Your daughter looks lovely and very intelligent so its only a matter of time before she discovers the back of this cabinet and begins to move the things around for you. I assume you'll have the back facing the wall. Good luck
