Has anyone done any work providing audio tours for museums or parks, etc.? If so, how did you find the business?

I just did some of this at the end of last week / today. I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're talking about: I did a number of characters for a new museum going up in Hershey, PA about Milton Hershey (the "Chocolate King").

I got it through Voice123.

A few years ago I narrated three kiosk videos for a museum run by UCLA. I really enjoyed the work!

There's a VO Store just down the street from me. I get a lot of my stuff from there. Ninja

I'll bet any other serious response could be summed up with "time dedicated to nurturing my current clients, lots of prospecting and networking, some cold-calling, and a bit of dumb luck".

And, welcome to the Board, by the way!

Hey, maybe it's a franchise and we can all buy one and open it in our respective towns.... but not advertise and take all the work. Smile

Lou, I saw that lead... congrats!!! I used to love to drive through Hershey... the whole town smells like chocolate, and the street lamps look like Hershey Kisses.

Pat, I'm guessing you're going to need to hit the streets, so to speak, and contact parks, museums, etc.

Thanks Caryn...it was fun! Although I'm not sure if I'm done yet, actually.

Yeah, there are a couple of places in Chicago that when you drive down certain streets or over certain bridges, you're overcome by the amazing smell of chocolate. Or bread. Just out there in the ether. It's pretty fabulous.

How do you get to be a sass*ige king Lou? Mind sharing? And what exactly is a sass*ige? Would I want to be king of such a thing?

Uh...I'm not sure a female can BE a sass-ige king.

Except maybe Jamie Lee Curtis.
