I bought a new pop filter yesterday and ordered from www.PopFilter.com (it's the dual filter setup). This particular unit mounts on the spider mount itself. It got me wondering if anyone here needed a pop filter so I sent them an email to find out how many units would need to be purchased for a volume discount. I'll let you know when I hear back from them. Price range is $35 - $57.

I just got the word back from the guys at PopFilter, here's the deal:

5% on 3-4 units
10% on 5-9 units
20% on 10 or more units

Although I did not get the discount, they said they would add the unit I just ordered (reg. price) to the quantity, so I've got one on the count for you.

If you can let me know by November 4th that would be great!

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey Kevin,

I'm in for the 6" shock mount pop filter (VAC s6)

How do you want to work this thing? Will we order from them and reference you or will you order them on our behalf?

Whatever you decide is good with me.

Thanks for doing this Kevin!

Cheers,

Well, here's the final details I just confirmed with www.PopFilter.com:

I'll have to place one order, break up the packages and ship to each of you individually. At the current time, we've got six (6) units, I'll cover the cost for four (4) additional PopFilters to ensure we receive a 20% discount.

The initial cost for each unit was $57 plus shipping. After the discount it is $45.60 plus shipping. I'd like to keep it at one nice easy number of $50.00, if I lose money on shipping it'll be $10 at most (Brian!). You can pay via PayPal (kevin@kevingenus.com) or you can send check or money order, just contact me via email if you will not be using PayPal.

Again, the order will be placed on Friday Nov. 4 at 12:00 EST with next day delivery. I'll try to have them out in Monday's mail if they arrive in the AM, the latest being Tuesday. You should have them before Nov. 11th.

Kevin, I'm in, and thanks for doing this for us. I think the VACs3.5 seems to be the best for VOs, do you think? My current pop screen is always in the way when I'm reading copy, and the Gefell mic is really pretty small so I don't need a humongous screen. Could you let me know what you think?

THANKS! <kiss kiss>

UhOh. Just looked at the full-sized version of this, maybe the 3.5 is too small?? Fraught with indecision. Maybe it will become clearer if I take a shower.

Later......

I'm using a 3.5" and the order I recently placed was a for a second 3.5" shock mounted version. If you're concern is visibility the 3.5" is less obstructive, but if you like moving around a lot, the 6" would be a better choice for you.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the order will be placed on Friday. If you haven't paid yet, you may want to put it on your radar. I have received payments from two individuals, Bill and Brian (Thanks guys ... Brian, I'll send it as a gift, no problem).

Wow...this place is sooo cool.....!!!

It's like you said in your interview, Deeby, about the voxers in the trenches supporting each other and working together...I just can't picture a lot of this sort of thing happening amongst the big Ivory Tower names in any performer "community"... this is such a groovy bunch of folks here. I don't even remember how I stumbled accross this board in the first place (I know it was by accident) but I feel so much more confindent at this starting-out stage than I would if I hadn't.
