Anthony's avatar is seriously creeping me out. Even though it's not a dark face, it reminds me of the guy in the alley from Mullholland Drive.

Although I'm not fond of the company (dropped me after paying out $35K on a stolen vehicle), it's one of my favorite commercials. _________________ Genus |

it's only temporary - i'm really into their commercials right now - i thought of doing speed racer but that just doesn't impact you visually like this one does

Perfect avatar for Halloween.
Anthony, the MDX 2200 is working great. I love it! UPS just delivered an MXL V69 ME mic today. I am turning into an equipment junkie.

Hey, Greg.
Happy to hear that! It's an affordable little "magic" box - I remember when the Behringer was the standard for recording vocals in project studios in my area that did everything from spoken to sung.
Not as widely used for compression anymore, but that darn expander/gate is magic and worth buying it if you're in an apartment/house.
And beware becoming an "equipment junkie" - it's an expensive habit  |

How does that one compare to the VX2496 Ultravoice pre-amp? I noticed a lot of feature crossover in the descriptions of the two, but I know so little about the myriad functions of such equipment I couldnt even pretend to know which would be better to get for a home studio.

P.S. I'm with Deeby; the face on that avatar gives me the freakin' willies |
