I didn't know him personally (although we did work together for a day some years back; he got to talk while I was recorded breathing, grunting, and smoking a cigarette for an English dubbing), the death yesterday of Jack Duffy merits mention.
While his only passing brush with the big time was as narrator for 80's Curious George cartoons, Mr. Duffy's long but anonymous career so well typifies that of many voice actors, and others on the showbiz periphery.

The only people who knew of him where the industry ones who matter. He built a long and strong career in the same shadows we work.
