Just for those who wish to know... and some who don't.

So far this week we have had four inches of snow Thursday and three inches of snow today with more expected through the holiday weekend. Temperatures are well below freezing at night so bundle up if you are coming to visit.

Yes the snow melted after approximately five hours - but it was definitely the white stuff.

Ski season is over, unless you are a die hard. Back country hikers are being warned to be careful of avalanches - in late May.

Spring in Utah is so interesting.

I guess I will not complain about our partly cloudy, mid-60s weather here in the Heartland...!

Frank,

That kind of weather is why I get SO homesick for Colorado sometimes... although this month has been a wild, wet, chilly one here in the northeast.

We spent a week at Snowbird one summer and it snowed up top... beautiful!

We've had our share of wicked wild weather here in Southern CA the past couple of days: a tornado in Riverside, snow at Big Bear Mtn. and at Warner Springs Ranch, all within an hour's drive....plus we just recorded 1" of rain this morning in our back yard rain gauge. Wierd indeed for Memorial Day weekend.

Frank,

I'm sure I'm the only resident of North Carolina who feels this way, but send some of that snow this direction. I miss that lovely, white, fluffy stuff.

Frank... Is that why some folks in Park City leave their Christmas lights up all year round?

Frank -- We've had some strange weather here in Northern Cali as well. It has been snowing in Lake Tahoe for the past couple of days and currently its 59 degree and raining here in Sacramento. The funny thing is, we were at over 100 degree just a couple of days ago. Nothing like experiencing all seasons in a single week.

Enjoy the snow.

My readings about "global warming" say one of the features will be more wild swings of weather which was also proved here this week. Monday it hit 110º (5º above our record for the date) and Thursday afternoon it was 53º and raining and we almost never get rain in May and June. We've had a half an inch of wet stuff over the past couple of days and that's a lot for a place that gets "none" in May and only 7" a year.

Dehydrated snow is on it's way to Bob and Liz. They only need add water and freezing cold.

Bailey, the lights are to ward off evil spirits from down in the valley.

Frank,

I hate to ask this, but could you send some freezing cold our way, too. We seem to be all out here in North Carolina. Laugh

It has been cool and rainy in San Diego - and last night we sat in the Living Room wondering if we should put the heat on - this after 90+ degrees the weekend before. Veddy strange....

But today - the rain stopped over our little hamlet and the sun came out and things are quite pleasant. Not warm, but pleasant enough.

We spent the early morning hours watching The Food Network and then printing out recipes for the week. After that a meandering trip to Trader Joe's, Henry's, Pancho Villas, North Park Produce and Vons to gather ingredients - and now ... we have SHRIMP ... something ... for dinner (I will refer to my recipe) - if I can get away from this darn keyboard.

It was a nice day here too. Quiet...took mom out for a stroll around the neighborhood and are now watching the "Across the Universe" DVD that we rented ...Kinda a younger version of HAIR with only Beatles music.

And we tried a new recipe as well!
Grilled Salmon with Peach/cucumber salsa - Yummy!....followed of course with Mango Margaritas now that Mom's in bed! cool

No more spring here. Summer arrived this week & it's 90 degrees now. I've been in shorts all week.
