It's winter and the steam heat has come on in NYC.

I have surfed all over looking for some pipe lagging - my studio has a floor-to-ceiling (12 foot by 3" wide) heating pipe which makes some interesting noises.

The suppliers I found only sell industrial lengths of pipe soundproofing..... they don't even get back to me when I ask for enough for this one pipe.

Has anyone found anything which is a good substitute for noise reduction of a heating pipe?

The people upstairs might not like it very much, since it involves elimating their source of heatr, and the initial installation is a bit hot, wet and messy, but these 4 items will take care of your problem
