Les Crane, a provocative talk-show host who was the first to challenge the primacy of Johnny Carson on late-night television - and lose - died Sunday. He was 74
Crane won a Grammy in 1971 for his recording of the inspirational poem "Desiderata" which became a cult hit.

Thank you for posting this story.
The Desiderata is one of my favorite pieces and words to live by. I have been working on an updated release of this classic poem in the style of Les Crane. Hopefully to be released late this year.
I remember Les when he was a newsman at CKLW in Detroit/Windsor. My how the years pass.
