VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Jeffrey Kafer

For the third time in less than 2 years, Bob Souer will be visiting lovely Washington State and joining me for dinner at the Tukwila Cheesecake Factory.

Sunday 7/27 at 6:30. Yes that's tomorrow, if you're reading it today, which is Saturday. Unless you're reading it tomorrow in which case Saturday was yesterday and dinner is tonight.

If any other Pacific Northwesterners would care to join us, we would love to have you!

If you were about an hour farther north, I'd battle the long border line-ups in my backyard and join you... Next time we'll have to shoot for blaine or bellingham cool

I strongly suspect I'll be back here to the Seattle area again. When I do come, I'll make a point of staying in a hotel north of Seattle so we can include you more easily next time.

The evening at the Cheesecake Factory in Tukwila, WA was very much enjoyed by me, and I think by Jeff Kafer. We had a wonderful dinner, as it pretty much always the case there. As you can see, Jeff really gets in to his cheesecake (Vanilla Bean, specifically, while I had the Dulce de Leche) ...

And then our server was nice enough to snap a shot of both of us, in a slightly playful mood ...

I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with wandered across all kinds of topics including, but not limited to a recounting of my visit to the legendary Portgordon, UK, Jeff's work testing games, some of my personal thoughts and reactions to my weekend of studying with Marice Tobias here in Seattle, our families and a host of other subjects. All in all, a truly wonderful evening. I'm very grateful to Jeff for going to the trouble of driving all the way to Tukwila for our dinner.

Your camera is broken, Bob. There's no way my forehead is that big.

Aside from that, we had a great time. It's amazing how a dinner can turn into 3+ hours of stimulating conversation.
