				| If you submit a written proposal for a job, do you include how you expect payment - like 50% up front for new clients, etc.? Or do you just include how much you expect to receive and then deal with the details once you get the job? _________________

				| If someone wants a written proposal then they like detail so put in your full payment terms and conditions including late payment penalties. | |

				| Like any good contract, a written "proposal" should be complete - sort of. You might consider adding a comment which states that this (the) document is a Proposal, it has a limited time to be accepted or rejected as prices may change, and a comment or two about how the costs may vary 10 to 15%.
Unless you state otherwise, the document you send is a bid/estimate and should be considered as a legal document which is binding upon both parties if accepted.

Explain it all in your "Proposal", you will not regret it.

				| When I was in college I bought a stamp labeled "You Stole This From The Genus Collection" which was mainly a means to save my book and cd collection, from fellow students. I still use stamps today, a couple of stamps you should have in your arsenal are:
 BALANCE DUE
 COPY
 DRAFT
 ESTIMATE
 FINAL
 FILE
 ORIGINAL
 PAID
 SHIPPED

Even though you have "Proposal" on your document, a nice stamp really sends it home. Come to think of it, I should probably order some pink envelopes....
