That's Toxic Waste, the candy.

I happen to like candy. Most any candy will do, although I've been better lately as I'm trying to keep the weight off. Anyway, yesterday a co-worker offered me a piece of this Toxic Waste sour candy. I generally like Sour Patch Kids candy, and other sour stuff, so I took a piece of Sour Apple and popped it in my mouth. It was nasty, but most of them are until you get past the initial layer of...whatever it is. This didn't get better. It got worse.

I'll spare you the full review. Let me just tell you that as of right now, almost 24 hours later, my throat is still feeling the effects of that crap. It's not affecting the sound of my voice as far as I can tell, but there is still some mild discomfort. Perhaps I had some sort of allergic reaction. Who knows. I just wanted to caution anyone tempted to try a piece of this garbage. I guess there's a reason it has that name.

"We've secretly replaced this voice actor's Toxic Waste candy with ACTUAL toxic waste, to see if he could tell the difference! See what our hidden cameras revealed!"

any product with that name gets a "pass" on the taste test list.

I don't need to deal with the aftermath.

/Engineers at work always wonder why I leave candy at Halloween. It's not kindness so much as self-preservation.

That sour candy chemical has something in it that strips the roof of my mouth— it's almost like a burn.

Forget it!

Thanks for the warning.

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever caused chemical burns on the roof of anyone's mouth. But, the rest applies. Laugh

Ow! Glad it didn't affect your voice...here's hoping the mouth and throat heal soon.

There are times, and this is one, that it delights me not to have a sweet tooth.

Pass the pretzels, please

Nahh, bring it along, Todd. It'll be fine once it's washed down with a glass of bleach and brake fluid punch!
