School starts Tuesday!!!

Just baby-stepping through the weekend, a la What About Bob?.

Kid #3 starts kindergarten, so I've got a 3 hour block all to myself in the mornings! Woo Hoo!!!!

And at the other end of the spectrum, I'm already missing my son whom we helped move into his dorm earlier today. He'll be fine of course, but I miss having him around.

My son is now a sophomore in high school. And now feels it's okay for us to be on a first name basis. Rather than make an issue of it, I figure, what the hey, he gets all A's, can play the violin like a pro, and he's home most nights.

To quote Dear Abby, "Don't sweat the small stuff."

He started school on Monday, I miss the eye rolling. Shocked

What are you going to do with THREE WHOLE HOURS? Go back to bed, read, watch TV, go to the big guys coffee shop and have a big guy's espresso. The three hours will just fly by. Enjoy.

I'm hoping I can get out today for back to school shopping....I've been jamming with narration work and helping with my daughter's high school 'band camp'-It's a Pirate themed half time show. Hobo Happy

I'm going to make a Pirate flag and a ship Hobo Happy

And they have a home game on Sept. 19th....very fun. so since I've been working and doing piratey things, I have not purchased one single stitch of back to school clothing, nor one pen or pencil. They start next Wednesday. Yikes. I love back to school shopping...feeding my inner geek. Geek

My baby starts middle school this year. How'd that happen?

I miss having 'em in school. My "baby" graduated in 06. Now doing part-time college for management/marketing and about to open a Karate dojo in Rhode Island. He still lives here.

Jeez, I remember getting all misty putting him on the bus for kindergarten.

My 2 eldest have both moved out this last year. Now it's just 3 of us - me, Judy and Alex. Alex starts Jr High on Tuesday and it's breaking his mother's heart. Her baby is growing up! (AND is looking at GIRLS!!!!!)
