Please keep in mind that I am currently doing news reporting from home and am still practicing my VO stuff, but here is a picture of my "broadcast booth" otherwise known as "Studio 1A" at home...

Kasey,
Very nice. Do you just hold your copy? _________________ Be well,

I just use the computer screen. For what I am doing right now, I really dont have a need for paper copy. _________________ Does life start at 40? |

Thanks. What you cant see in the picture, but the cable sitting on the top tier runs to, is the phone interface, so essentially I have a complete broadcast studio ready for some podcasting or a possible syndicated weekly "Kasey's Kountdown" or something...hahaha not really. Maybe an 80's 90's retro show...you never know. _________________ Does life start at 40? |

Right now I am newscasting for several small market radio stations and it is delivered via ftp with the software that I use. _________________ Does life start at 40? |

You really have that "newsroom" vibe going with the big clock.

Yea... but to give it that real news room feel, you need about a half dozen half empty coffee cups scattered all over and a week's worth of crumpled up newspapers on the floor! Seriously, nice and efficient looking! _________________ Moe Egan

Kasey,
Well done! I like the setup and especially the clock. I had to have an atomic clock in my office. I guess it goes back to the radio days where I want to know the exact time. lol |

Same here... I kind of want one of those that we had in grade school...with the silver or aluminium rim with the white face and black numbers...that would be cool...big, but cool...

Big Clocks, with second hands...just one of the ways radio creeps into your soul and leaves a smudge. _________________ Moe Egan

Yup.. I totally remember being married to that second hand as you backtimed to the network news while doing a music shift in a small market.
Ahh....Memories of 1490 WIKE in Newport VT. That was real radio folks. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Yep, backing into network news, trying to find that perfect 1:55 song or 2:22 song or whatever so you didn't have to cut anything short. Couldn't do it with a digital clock...I could "feel" time by where the hands were on the analog clock.
