After listening to the scripts from Banksey and Channel, I started wondering if there exists a site online that has nothin but radio and television commercials.... does anyone know? _________________ Genus |

Unlikely as there are all manner of copyright, useage and payment issues. Anyone who started to build such a site would soon wish they hadn't. |

AdCritic.com used to have all kinds of current ads, domestic and foreign--but they're subscription-only now.

Of course it's legal and free, it's the internet. Everything is allowed on the internet and it must be free..............that's the law, isn't it? |

Yes, why yes it is. When Al Bore uh. um...Gore invented the internet, he decreed that copyrights and laws were pish posh (I believe I have that quote right...I could be wrong but who cares...its the internet) and that anyone could take anything from any site and declare it their own.
And the government will pay for all of it.
We're sooooo lucky! _________________ - Peter

Adforum.net is a subscription service for TV ads, but they also offer their 5 most reqested ads each week for free for about 10 days viewing time. They send you an email each week offering you the chance to view them. It's been quite entertaining and informative.

Well ... my question was veiled to a degree, I just needed some :30 / :60 spots to test an idea for a friend at a local studio who asked if I would be interested in imaging streaming content for local businesses in 2006. He's supplied eight hours of typical content, all following the same format. I wanted to throw it into my computer and fill the gaps with commercials at the appropriate times....
I ended up downloading a bunch of PSAs by Willie Nelson on legalizing weed, the "eat beef" campaigns from a few years back and dropped in two :10 ids (their from different stations but it worked).
I still enjoy producing and this one actually pays a pretty penny ... hopefully more on this later. _________________ Genus |
