VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Just before I left for my acting class tonight my sister called and said that her daughter (my niece) had just given birth to a baby girl... mom is a bit tired (caesarian) and baby doing well... 9 pounds 4 ounces!!!

This niece was one of the first that I had "responsibility" for in the event that something happened to her parents -- they were military and designated me their daughter's guardian. So, I've always been interested in her...

Awww! That is sweet. I just got to be the auntie for the first time and it was fantastic. And I didn't know how important it was until it happened. I can't imaging being Great Auntie. Anything with great in front of it is a thrill. Can you put it on the resume?

I'd love to say she looks like you. But she looks like an adorable newborn. And I've never seen you in a pink hat so until that happens there is no real comparison. Congrats to the whole Clan!!

If I were all-great, I'd be on a plane over to Lakenheath (near Cambridge) to be with her right now. But, I'm only merely great. Smile

As it is, we're pulling out all the stops to get her mom (my youngest sister) over there to be with her... the surgery and complications are making things tough for the new family right now and the new grandma gets priority to be there. If all goes well, we'll get to see them all at Christmastime when the proud mom, dad, and baby come back to the States for the holidays. The daddy is deployed with the USAF and RAF...
