|
|
I get graphics and photos just fine when viewing HTML emails on my Mac 99% of the time. But, every once in a while they just won't load. Recent example, the newsletters that Voices.com sends out. They use a separate newsletter distributor instead of sending through their own server. Graphics come through fine from them directly, but the newsletter is full of boxes with red X's and I can't make them download. I'm using Entourage in MS Office on a Mac OS 10.4.11.
Now if I forward the email to my GMail account I see pictures there. Any clues on a fix?
Merci,

Have you tried adding the sender to your safe sender list? I know that Outlook blocks pictures until you say it's OK to show them. _________________ Jeff

Even though Entourage is part of the complete Microsoft Office for Mac package, I understand that it is the poor sister to Outlook in the Windows version of Office. I have no way to "white list" or mark an addy as a "safe sender". I can only add them to my address list (or call them junk), but that seems to make no difference.
With about half the emails I get with embedded photos or graphics, the material appears automatically, and with the other half I have to click a prompt that says "download pictures" (these are most often spam messages, but not always).
Now, dinking around with the Voices email I found that if I click and drag the red X box around a bit, the graphic faintly appears under the cursor but when I let go it pops back to it's original red X state. That's a new one on me.
I guess my short term solution is to forward these "no shows" to my Gmail where they do appear in full.
Thanks for trying to help,
