Congratualtions to all. I look forward to watching the film. Both sets of grandparents came through Ellis Island. My Italian grandmother was 16 at the time. I wish I knew what was going through her mind when she first saw the shore. |

As another first-generation American, I will really look forward to this.
My folks didn't actually go through Ellis Island, as they came here in 1953 with Visas they waited 5 years for...My mom & dad came with a 2 year old in tow (my oldest brother) and pretty much nothing but what they had in a few suitcases to start a whole new life here...the courage that took....

Both sides of my family passed through there, too.
What a wonderful project to be part of! _________________ --Michael

My mother gave my Italian grandmother a tape recorder about 20+ years ago and asked her to talk a bit about her life. One of the best stories on the tape was about her trip across the ocean to America when she was about 12 or so,
Looking forward to it Mary...(and Drew et al) _________________ Playing for a living...

I was over at Audible.com the other day narrating another audiobook and I saw a bunch of promotional materials on the Ellis Island project. I guess they are involved in some capacity. _________________ Joe Rodriguez, Bilingual Voice Actor | The Voiceover Thespian Blog |
