Hi Everyone,
Nice to be here on vo-bb. I'm wondering if I can get help with Audacity 1.2.4 converting mp3 files using lame_enc.dll : I sound like the girlfriend of Alvin the chipmunk. I have Audacity set for sample rate: 44100, bit rate: 16, mono. I have Windows Vista and use the Blue Snowball. I have no problem with recording and making a wav file, but it is converting it to mp3 that causes the distortion. I read Bob Sauer's suggestion about perhaps the mp3 converter(?) is in stereo, but I don't see how I can control that when I download LAME. Any suggestions? Thanks... |

You say the resulting MP3 file is sped up. What is the sample rate of that file? Still 44.1/16 mono? _________________ Jeff

Hi Jeffrey,
I'm no techie. I saw no sample rate mentioned but the only value I can see that is pertinent is that the bit rate is 320 kpbs in all the mp3 files that I made so far. My wav file, which has a normal sample speed, is 705 kbps. I don't get it...
Correction: I downloaded Audacity 1.2.6
Thanks for any and all help. |
